UK CAA Exams Update

Introduction of New Syllabus Exams (ECQB2020)

ECQB2020 examinations will be bookable in Tasman from the 1st June 2020.  The launch date for ECQB2020 examinations is confirmed as the 1st August 2020 which will run in parallel with ECQB 06.

From the 1st January 2021 candidates will not be able to book ECQB 06 for their first attempt, but ECQB 06 will remain available in parallel with ECQB2020 until the end of June 2022 for candidates who have already started the series.

Those booking ECQB2020 examinations should remember that the time for some subjects has increased in length, so please ensure a slot is selected that is suitable for the examination being booked.  As a help in identifying those subjects we have attached a comparison document of timings for ECQB 06 examinations against ECQB2020 examinations.  In the future, the CAA exam team will be looking at how we provide slots taking into consideration the timing changes and the best use of an examination day.
